Design
The classic jhumkas that are crafted today are actually the evolved versions of the ancient Kharanpool jhumkas. Originally, Jhumkis used to be a part of the south Indian temple jewellery, they started gaining popularity when Bharatnatyam dancers adopted these beauties into their attire.
Inspiration
This pair, of majestic and elegant gold jhumkas, is inspired by the rich cultures of the past as they conspire with the gleam of gold. This beautiful pair by Purejewels has been created using diverse techniques that are beautifully amalgamated into one. The jhumka earrings start with a pear drop shaped motif that is surrounded by miniature components and is embellished with a traditionally shaped and deeply hued ruby in the centre. The textured pear motif is followed by a classic gold jhumkaa that has been crafted by bringing beautiful gold petals together while the centre is studded with a lush polki. Small rawas of gold around the edges of the Jhumka and an emerald drop that falls from the centre beautifully end this precious pair.
Style
Gold Jhumkas are evergreen, they have been touching hearts and fascinating Indian women and now are being loved by more women around the globe. These traditional Indian baubles, once brought home, shall become a part of your family heirloom collection while you adorn them at significant and beautiful moments.
